Ryan Syrjala at No. 2, Eric Hurst at No. 3 and Ben Luke at No. 4 also claimed singles triumphs for the Miners (7-1).

“Ben has had an incredible year so far … ,” Saari commented.

In doubles, Karl Bittner and Alex Roth downed Marquette’s Noah Gannon and Joe Weber at No. 1, 6-0, 6-3.

The Miners’ Anthony Moyle and Rob Loy prevailed for NHS at No. 2 doubles.
