MARQUETTE — The Marquette Senior High School girls varsity soccer team posted a tie and a win during a pair of games earlier this week against Dickinson County teams.

On Monday, the Redettes tied Kingsford 1-1 in Marquette. This marked the second time these teams have met this season with each game ending in a deadlock.

Senior Alexis Adams scored the lone goal for MSHS off an assist from junior Hattie Britton.

On Wednesday, the Redettes traveled to Iron Mountain and defeated the Mountaineers 4-1 to improve their record to 10-1-4.

Sophomore Alyson McCarthy opened the scoring for Marquette, getting an assist on her goal from junior Hannah Mason.

The Redettes got their second goal when junior Hailey Ridolphi scored after her sister Tiffany Ridolphi, also a junior, fed her the ball through the IM defense.

Goal No. 3 came when junior Addie Ollila scored off an assist from Hailey Ridolphi, while Hailey Ridolphi notched her second goal of the day with time running low to round out the Redettes’ scoring.
