MARQUETTE — Westwood and Negaunee did quite nicely when the voting took place for All-Upper Peninsula girls tennis awards in Division 1.

Honors for the players and a coach were revealed Tuesday with the winning and runner-up teams at those MHSAA U.P. Finals taking the most honors.

The Patriots won the meet, held at Kingsford last Wednesday, with 20 points, while the Miners were second with 15. Negaunee had a perfect 15-0 dual-meet record during the season.

Coaches whose teams were at the meet, which also included Marquette, Escanaba, Gladstone, Menominee and Kingsford, voted for these honors.

The two top honors were split between Westwood and Negaunee.
