U.P. boys soccer finals Saturday in Marquette
Three fields at the complex will be used as each team will get to play at least two games as early-round losers get a chance to play in an overall consolation game and divisional third-place games.
The first games begin at 10 a.m., with the Division 1 championship and third-place games the last to start at 4 p.m.
Marquette Senior High School’s varsity team will headline Division 1, with Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Houghton and Sault Ste. Marie joining the Redmen.
Division 2 included the Marquette JV team and the Negaunee Soccer Club. Joining those Marquette County teams will be Bayside Soccer Club out of the Escanaba-Gladstone area, Copper Country Christian and the Houghton JV.
Games will be played in 30-minute halves with a five-minute halftime. Games tied at the end of regulation will go directly to a five-player shootout, with a sudden-death shootout if still tied.
For those attending games, Field 1 is the first field on the left nearest the parking lot entrance, Field 2 is the second field with the electronic scoreboard and Field 3 is the far field that is behind the BMX track.
