NEGAUNEE — While all four Marquette County teams won multiple awards, it was West PAC Iron Division champion Westwood that won the special honors when the league announced its girls basketball awards on Tuesday.

Senior guard Tessa Leece was named Player of the Year and Kurt Corcoran the Coach of the Year for the Patriots, who finished the regular season with 18-2 overall and 11-1 league records.

Leece also earned a berth on the league’s Defensive Team.

The West PAC’s nine schools named an overall Dream Team and Defensive Team, then Iron and Copper Division First teams and honorable mentions.

Three area players were among the five who made the Dream Team — Negaunee sophomore center Alyssa Hill, Gwinn senior guard Marissa Delmont and Westwood senior guard Madelyn Koski.
