IRON MOUNTAIN — Westwood swept Iron Mountain 8-0 in a high school girls tennis meet held Thursday.

The best contested match came at No. 4 doubles, where the Patriots’ Hannah Mattila and Mallory Leece beat IM’s Elle Lofholm and Courtney Portello 6-2, 7-5.

Westwood dropped just 11 games in other flights.

At Iron River Thursday, Gwinn’s No. 4 doubles tandem of Alyssa Whitaker and Madalyn Brady put up a good fight before succumbing to Kat Hemelski and Alyssa Dominici, 7-5, 6-0.

But it was Gwinn’s No. 3 singles player Lily Kerry who won the most games, six, in the meet.
