Northern Michigan University Wildcat men’s soccer team looks to open GLIAC with home victory on Friday afternoon
The Wildcats (1-3) are working on a three-game losing streak, though last week’s pair of games were both one-goal losses, including a 2-1 setback in double overtime to Lewis.
Four players have scored so far this season for NMU. Freshman Ryan Palmbaum leads the way with two goals, which also ties him for tops in the GLIAC.
NMU freshman Jonas Vorbau is second among GLIAC goalkeepers in allowing just three goals this season. He is also ranked in goals-against-average, giving up 1.76 goals per game.
This will be the fifth matchup between Northern and Purdue Northwest (0-4 this season), each team winning twice. Last year, NMU won 5-0 and lost 2-1.
