Cam Stilson

GRAND RAPIDS — Freshman Cam Stilson made nine saves but it wasn’t enough as the Northern Michigan University women’s lacrosse team lost at Davenport 16-3 in a GLIAC match on Sunday morning.

The Wildcats (3-10, 2-7 GLIAC) were outshot 22-1 in the first half as the Panthers build a 12-0 halftime lead in NMU’s final regular-season road game.

Junior Graison Ringlever and freshmen Jessica Close and Marina Wilson scored second-half goals for NMU as Ringlever also had an assist and led her team with three draw controls.

Stilson led Northern with four ground balls as Close had three.

Aaliyah Miller led Davenport (7-6, 4-4) with six goals.

Northern scored its three goals in just over four minutes in the latter stages of the game, led by Ringlever potting her 33rd of the season and 94th of her collegiate career with 9:44 left. Daniels’ goal was her 21st of the spring and Wilson’s her first.

NMU returns to the Superior Dome at 7 p.m. Thursday to take on Indianapolis in a GLIAC game. The final regular season game against league foe Ashland is at 11 a.m. Saturday, when Wildcats’ seniors will be honored.
