Youth hockey: City Insurance splits four-game set

MARQUETTE - A pair of wins over Petoskey on Nov. 17 gave the City Insurance Pee Wee AA hockey team a split of a four-game set.

The Sentinels beat Petoskey twice, both by 4-1 scores, after losing the previous day to the Alpena Wrecks, 3-2 and 4-2.

In its final game against Petoskey, City Insurance got goals from Cooper Anderson, Lucas Guertin, Peyton Anderson and Chris Sliva.

Notching assists were Anderson, Guertin, Sean O'Connor, Luke Labre, Russ Modell, Jakob Peterson and Thomas Dunleavy.

Sentinels goaltender Tyler Bergwall made 18 saves.

Earlier that day, Luke Beerman tallied three goals, while Dunleavy posted a goal and an assist.

Gaetano Cammarata, (2), Peyton Anderson, Brent Kroll and Peterson picker up helpers.

Preston Maki came up with 24 stops in goal.

In the 4-2 loss to Alpena, Peyton Anderson and Jon Jason notched markers for Marquette.

Cammarata, Beerman and Karsten Kamps collected assists, while Bergwall turned aside 24 shots on net.

In the weekend opener, the Sentinels got goals from Cammarata and Guertin, while Beerman picked up a pair of helpers.

Maki made 23 saves.
