MARQUETTE - A screening of the 1913 Massacre will be shown at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the DeVos Art Museum, Marquette.
There will be a question-and-answer session with the filmmakers immediately afterward.
The film focuses on the Italian Hall tragedy, in which 75 people were killed in a stampede at a Christmas celebration. It also discusses the mining protests that occurred during this event, which left Calumet grieving during a time of poor working conditions, low wages and working-class struggles.
