TAMPA, FL. - Leslie Daniel Libby, age 85, entered eternal life September 14, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
Leslie was born February 29, 1928 in Marquette, to Ernest and Lena (Waisanen) Libby. Following high school, Leslie enlisted in the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for many years in Florida as a wildlife conservation officer, something he considered more of a vacation than a job. In his spare time, Leslie was an avid painter, and was known in and around Marquette as a watercolor artist. He was a real outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as just meandering around in the woods. Leslie loved his dogs and garden and tried to devote as much time to them as possible. He will be remembered for his wild stories and his wonderful sense of humor.
Leslie is survived by a son, Charles (Trisa) Libby and their daughter, Leslie; a daughter, Maria Peas, and her daughter Amanda Peas.
Honoring Leslie's request, no services will be held.
