MARQUETTE - First-year Northern Michigan University head basketball coach Bill Sall will have only three returning players from last year's Wildcats team that finished 4-18 in the GLIAC and 5-21 overall, resulting in the dimissal of former head coach Doug Lewis.

Sophomore forward Terry Nash and senior forward Michael Smith return from injuried plagued seasons while Marquette's Spencer Huss is also back after averaging 1.4 points per game at guard in 25 games.

To fill out the 2013-14 roster, Sall has brought in six tranfers and five true freshman.

"I'm excited that we were finally able to finalize our roster with a large group of quality basketball players and students," Sall said in a release. "We will be a team that Wildcat fans can be proud of and everyone is ready to get to work."

Ethan Blackwell transfers in from Texas Southern, Havercamp played the previous two seasons at Saginaw Valley State, Chavis Mattison is out of Mott Community College, Alex Mustert comes from Grand Rapids Community College, Justin Newell is from Triton College and Larry Taylor transfers in from Jackson Community College.

As for the freshmen, Joey Barnes is from Brentwood, Tenn., Dorrell Foster is out of downstate Farmington, Marcus Hall hails from Grand Rapids, Caleb Harrington played at Kingsford, Wade Shetter was an all-state and All-U.P. standout at Carney-Nadeau and Mid Penisula's Brett Branstrom is the fourth U.P. native on the team.

NMU's first game is set for Nov. 18 against Grace Bible at 7:30 p.m. from the Berry Events Center.
