Dompierre, Nylander, Hebert lead Sisters triumph

Ishpeming Women's Softball League

In Class A play, Anna Dompierre went 3-for-4 - including a triple - to lead Sisters to a 12-11 win over Jasper Ridge Brewery I. Ashley Nylander added a triple and Kelly Hebert a double for the winners.

Taylor Watters went 4-for-5, Stephanie Abata 3-for-5, and Vanessa Taavola and Mindy Nardi chipped in three hits apiece, for Jasper.

Elyssa Hallum slammed two home runs as PC Medic hammered Fox Negaunee, 27-12.

IRACORE crushed Cliffs Natural Resources, 20-3, behind three hits (homer, double) by Bethy Williams. Jess Syrjala hit a double for Cliffs.

Kathy Hill, Dindy Cousineau (two doubles) and Abby Watters (two doubles) turned in four hits each to spark Buck's Party Store to a 14-13 victory over Venice. Jamie Conradson knocked in the winning run in the eighth inning.

For Venice, Steph Robar went 4-for-4, while Chelsie Wealton and Michelle Turri hit triples. Nikki Whitford added a double.

Jasper Ridge Brewery I dumped Fox Negaunee, 18-10, behind Watters' 5-for-5 plate performance. Abata and Kayla Holmes added homers.

Beth Rae and Toni Enrietti both went 3-for-4 with a triple for Fox. Teammate Alexis Forchini belted a homer.

Paige Yoho knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as IRACORE edged Venice, 9-7. Courtney Waara went 2-for-3 with a homer.

Amy Steele, Terri Ostola and Beth Christianson rapped out two hits each for Venice.

In Class B, Lizzy VanBuren (four), and Traci Sundberg and Nickki Richer (three each), combined for 10 hits as Crossfit 906 downed VFW, 16-11. VanBuren and Sundberg both hit homers.

Carolyn Rehkopf and Debby Leaf added two hits each for Crossfit.

For VFW, Amy Young went 4-for-4 and Nicole Mattila 3-for-3.

Signs Unlimited trimmed Jack's TeePee, 11-9, behind two hits each by Erin and Sandy Carlson.

Lindsey Thompson belted a grand slam for Jack's.

Tino's II beat Dave's Collision, 11-7; and UP off Road & Performance stopped Jasper Ridge Brewery II, 18-10. Ella Bertucci collected three hits - one a homer - for the winners; Casey Dugan did the same for Jasper II.

April Ulrickson (double) and Lisa Niemi (triple) both came up with three hits as Paradise Bar defeated Pasquali's, 13-6. Heather Nelson added a triple among her two hits for the winners.

Nicki Frisk hit a home run for Pasquali's.

Class C action saw the Negaunee Eagles drop Eastwood, 12-2, as Michelle Augustine and Macailly Carlson backed winning pitcher Sue Bazinette with two hits apiece. Bazinette recorded two doubles and Joy Prisk two hits for the Eagles.

Kera Williams knocked in both Eastwood runs. Teammate Ellen Sundberg hit a double.

Ashley Juchemich went 3-for-3 and Monica Cox hit two doubles as Willey's Tire Shop shaded Martin Sports Apparel, 7-6, despite two hits (triple) by Tor Powelson.

Rookie's I toppled Tru North Credit Union, 9-8, behind a circuit clout by Keenan Marana.

Carley Tuominen collected three hits and Jessica Noskey added a homer as UP Fabricating stopped Wooden Nickel, 15-13.

Sydney Higgens and Kelsey McCarty belted homers for Wooden Nickel.

Country Lanes crushed Palomaki Family Chiropractic, 25-9, behind two homers and a triple by Jordan Wixtrom.

Cassie Kudis added two home runs and two doubles, and Country Lanes teammate Becky Lawson a round tripper.

Rose Korpi went 4-for-5 and Mallory Pruett two homers to support winning hurler Kathy Gischia in a 19-3 triumph over UP Fabricating.

Val Prusi (three) and Rachael Mager (two) combined for five hits for UP Fabricating.
