MARQUETTE - Storytellers Jessica "Red" Bays, B. G. Bradley, Jim Edwards and Corinne Rockow will entertain with tales after a quesadilla bar prepared by the Border Grill at 6 p.m. April 5 at Peter White Public Library.
The evening's four performers will tell stories that help define who we are, as people and as a community. Bays will perform "front porch" tales from the deep south. Bradley will explore "mostly true" memories of growing up in small town U.P. and the connections people make. Edwards will perform his retellings of classic fairy tales performed "Mr. Jim"-style. Singer-songwriter-storyteller Rockow will do a performance celebrating the world and the humor in it.
This event is appropriate for ages 6 and older. Tickets cost $7.50 per person (which covers cost of the meal) and must be purchased in advance. Purchase tickets at the library circulation or by calling 228-9510 no later than Monday. Tickets will not be available at the door. Seating is limited due to space constraints.
The evening is sponsored in part by the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
