ISHPEMING, Mich. - Edna M. Arseneau, age 91, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 13, 2013 at Mill Creek Assisted Living in Marquette where she resided since 2009.
Edna was born October 30, 1921 in Marquette to Edward and Helen (Blocken) Nadeau. She spent her childhood in Munising and later moved to Marquette where she graduated from Graveraet High School in June of 1940.
On December 26, 1942, she married Paschal J. Arseneau and had two sons. They made their home in North Lake where she resided for 60 years. During their marriage, they were members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. They also enjoyed camping in their trailer, square dancing and traveling across the country. In her later years, Edna liked to travel, attend exercise class with the ladies, Thursday evening coffee with family and Saturday church services at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons, William (Betty) Arseneau, and Ken (Teri) Arseneau both of Ishpeming. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband Paschal, a sister Irene St. Andre, and three bothers Paul, Ed, and Robert Nadeau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Friday, January 18, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Fr. James Challancin officiating. Interment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St Joseph Catholic Church on Friday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
