SAULT STE. MARIE - Nothing much went right for the Marquette Senior High School hockey team Saturday.

The Redmen lost an 8-0 mercy decision to Detroit Brother Rice in a game played in the Norris Center at Lake Superior State.

The Redmen (2-5) were credited with just one shot on goal in the contest.

"Brother Rice is one of the best high school hockey teams I've seen in a long time," MSHS head coach Mike L'Huillier said. "It's easy to see why they're ranked No. 1 in the state.

"From the drop of the puck to the end of the game, they were flying around. It was hard for us to compete."

Ethan Wiese and Even Kyle shared the goaltending duties for the Redmen, combining for 28 saves.
