The Crossroads Christian Academy robotic team the Falling Falcons earned two awards at the regional tournament hosted by Northern Michigan University's Seaborg Center recently. Shown with their award are: Front row, from left, Tyler Jandreau, Corey Jandreau, Jonah Elliott and Seth Elliott, and back row, from left, Isaac Cooper, Kennan Johnson, Trent Smith, Mary Norton and coach Susan Syria. The team's sportsmanship and professionalism earned them one of two Core Values plaques. In addition, the overall combined score for their research project, core values, robot design, and points on the mission table resulted in a second place award and an invitation to compete at the state level tournament in Flint. The team is comprised of one veteran and seven rookies from fifth through eighth grades and was supported this season by a grant from the Marquette Breakfast Rotary.
