ISHPEMING - An Ely Township man pleaded no-contest Friday to a charge that stemmed from a fatal car-pedestrian accident in July.

Richard Charles Jordan, 50, plead no-contest on one count of operating with a suspended, revoked or denied license, causing death, a 15 year felony.

Linda Marie Vanginkel, 64, of National Mine was crossing Third Street near the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame on July 18 when she was allegedly struck by the 1995 Chevrolet pick-up truck Jordan was driving. Vanginkel was taken to Marquette General Hospital, where she had died two days later.
