Sharon St. Germain

NEGAUNEE TWP - Sharon J. St. Germain, age 69, of 200 Midway Dr., Negaunee Twp. passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Norlite Nursing Center in Marquette, where she had been a resident for the past 5 days.

Sharon was born August 21, 1943 in Marquette the daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Rood) Barber. Sharon grew up in Big Bay and was a lifelong area resident. Sharon married the late Earl A. St. Germain on November 4, 1961, and had lived in Negaunee since 1974, working with her husband at St. Germain Sandblasting for many years. Sharon had also worked as an Avon distributor for several years.

Sharon enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events along with traveling to visit family members. She would often pass her time by taking a ride to the local casino. Sharon and her late husband Earl supported Ducks Unlimited, the Safari Club International and the Wild Turkey Federation, along with being members of the Big Bay Sportsman's Club.

Sharon is survived by 3 children: Patrick (Terry) St. Germain of Negaunee Twp, Todd (Jan) St. Germain of Palmer and Lana (Ryan) Tappy of Marquette, 2 sisters Joyce Hayward of Star, ID and Patsy (William) West of Walled Lake, MI, a brother Wilfred (Janice) Barber of Marquette, a brother-in-law, Robert Hudson, 9 grandchildren: Ryan (Krista) St. Germain, Bradley St. Germain, Brittany (Kevin) Yohe, Morgan Hewitt, Joshua St. Germain, Kelly St. Germain, Ethan St. Germain, Spencer Tappy and Evelyn Tappy, a great granddaughter Julianne Yohe, a great grandson Brock Yohe, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl St. Germain on Feb. 14, 2011, her twin sister Sheila Hudson, and brothers Orville and Harold Barber.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 2 until 3pm on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home with the Msgr. Michael Steber to officiate. Inurnment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to UPAWS at in Sharon's memory.
