To the Journal editor:

As the Event Coordinator of the Community Christmas Dinner, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who made this year’s event a resounding success. Because of the generosity of our community sponsors, volunteers and the Ishpeming Elks Lodge we were able to deliver 950 meals free of charge on Christmas Day across Marquette County. We would be remiss in not recognizing the Ishpeming Volunteer Fire Department and Bells Hospital kitchen for all of their amazing help. Our volunteers are united in feeling this is the true meaning of Christmas.

The food that was left was donated to the Janzen House to continue the gift of giving.
