To the Journal editor:

When are we going to get some good news?

With the virus still going strong and civil unrest, I sure hope that we the people will try to listen to our health experts in regards to the virus, wear masks, wash hands and avoid big crowds.

If and when things begin to improve, let’s all work together to make life better. As I have written before, it has to change or else we sure don’t want to continue to get so-called bad news.

Many people I have talked to have pretty much quit watching television. Even the commercials are not encouraging. Many are about medications that will make you well but they don’t tell you about side effects.

Our leaders in Washington continue to not get along. Not much help for, we, the people, as our founders said when they formed this country, the U.S.

Also not much in regards to God. As I have said, the money says “In God We Trust.” Then, how about “God Bless America” and the pledge, “one nation under God.” Even my American Legion magazine says, “for God and country.”

How about some prayers asking God to help and then give thanks to God. For me, it’s God I trust and I would add the peace of God which passes all understanding will surely improve our situation and then we will have the good news we are looking for.

In conclusion, God bless the U.S.
