Nominations sought

To the Journal editor:

It has been my distinct honor the past four years to chair the Pendill Wall of Excellence induction committee. Marquette Area Public Schools has continually graduated young people who have gone out and made their mark in our world.

And that is my task – to recognize those who “have distinguished him or herself in a chosen occupation or profession; demonstrated service to others through commitment to public or community service; and demonstrated his or her time and contributions to philanthropy for the betterment of mankind.”

In summary, since its inception, we have had three inductees from the 1930s, one from the 1940s, two from the 1950s, one from the 1960s, and three from the 1970s.
