Sinners repent

To the Journal editor:

Brothers and sisters, lovers of peace and freedom, hearken unto my words. Our country is being dismantled, our rights trodden down, and our people are hurting.

We have inalienable natural rights given to us by God Himself. The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Equipped with unwavering faith in the living God, the founding fathers of our country ensued these freedoms, with great courage and sacrifice they were secured, and documented in our constitution and bill of rights.

We have become complacent and apathetic in our liberty, not caring what goes on in our government, and turning our backs on God. Caring only about pleasing our flesh, we’ve been carried away by diverse lusts and taken captive by satan at his will.

How can we defeat this tyrannical grip of darkness and restore America? We need to turn our hearts back over to our Creator. As the Lord our God said in 11 chronicles 7:14 “If My people which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

Only by repentance and asking the son of God to come into our hearts will we be aaved, reconciled unto God, and turned from darkness back to light. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, but are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

For God has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies of God by wicked works, yet now can he reconcile. Having made peace through the blood of his cross, to reconcile all things unto Himself. Whosoever will call upon the Lord will be Saved and presented holy, unblameable, unreproveable in God’s sight. Then, and only then, will we have access with confidence unto the Father and the petitions we desire.

The healing of America must first start in the hearts of the people. Through repentance and faith in the operation of God will we be able to overcome this evil that threatens our way of life. The power, grace, and love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Love, a saved sinner.
