To the Journal editor:

Recently Cancer Care of Marquette County (formerly Ishpeming Cancer Society) lost our most active member Priscilla Tasson.

Priscilla was our president for the past 40 years. She was instrumental in leading us through some critical years in the 1970’s when funding sources evaporated.

One of her last wishes was to extend a thank you to and the organizations, business leaders, and individuals who generously donated to us over the years to allow CCMC the opportunity to help area residents pay for their cancer treatments, travel, etc.

She was especially grateful to the United Way for their support through the years. Our agency and our entire community lost a valuable member.
