Stupak cited

To the Journal editor:

(Recently) I read an article supporting Cannon. Nothing wrong with that, is there? And then, I got to thinking about my insurance when I worked for the phone company.

When I got sick or needed some dental work or the old eyes were diminishing somewhat, I went to the proper doctors and things were taken care of.

Then I retired and I still had a good medical and dental plan, which coupled with my share of out-of-pocket was still good for my wife and I.

Now presto, I have to pick an insurance plan that I don’t want and is expensive, which leads me to a story.

Lets say you are on a tour bus going out to Yellowstone National Park and the driver pulls into a restaurant at noon and says, “We’ll meet here in a hour.”

As your holding the door for some of the ladies, you turn and notice the driver is crossing the highway to a different eating spot. When he returns to let the people back on you ask, “Why he went over there?” He replies, “the food is terrible where you ate.”

This is the same thing with our forced insurance. They, (the politicians) who voted this in are at the other restaurant eating high off the hog.

And by the way, let us not forget who was the last and deciding vote in this debacle: Mr. Bart Stupak.
