To the Journal editor:

Every year I solicit restaurants and food eateries in our area for different benefits and I just wanted to publically give them a huge thank-you!

I am honored to say I belong in this industry and am humbled by the generosity bestowed to me.

This year I solicited local establishments for our annual Paint The Throttle Pink benefit in which we will be raising money for Marquette County Suicide Prevention Alliance. It is my “job” to ask restaurants and food eateries to donate gift cards or gift certificates for our “Restaurant Board.”

It amazes me how overly generous my industry is – so generous that I have enough for two jammed packed boards that will bring in a lot of money for a very good cause.

Again, I thank all the restaurateurs, bar owners, cafe managers and all the “food folks” that have once again donated to a really, really great cause.

I am extremely proud to say that I belong to this great restaurant community in Marquette County.
