ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – An 88-51 loss in men’s basketball to the Indianapolis Greyhounds Saturday closed out Northern Michigan University’s participation in the GLIAC/GLVC Challenge.

Junior guard Terry Nash, freshman guard Jordan Perez and senior guard Larry Taylor led NMU, now 0-2 overall, with nine points apiece. Nash added seven rebounds – five offensive.

The Wildcats of head coach Bill Sall dropped a 78-57 decision to Lewis University in their season-opener Friday night.

Against Indianapolis, NMU took an early 6-2 lead, only to see the Greyhounds go on an extended run to grab a 48-21 advantage at the half.

Though Northern went on a 13-4 run to close out the game, the contest was never in doubt.

Joe Lawson of the Greyhounds led all scorers with 14 points.

Friday night, Wildcat sophomore guard Marcus Hall scored a game-high 15 points, but it wasn’t enough against Lewis University.

Hall sank 6 of 12 from the field, including 3 of 7 from 3-point range, in 33 minutes of play.

Lewis held a 40-29 lead at intermission before taking a 69-54 advantage midway through the second half.

Kyle Nelson and Max Strus paced Lewis with 13 points each. Nelson also grabbed nine boards.
