Avoid sin
To the Journal editor:
Jesus tells what it will be like on earth before He returns. He said it would be “as in the days of Noah.” In Genesis 6:5, Noah’s day, “the wickedness of man was very great in the earth” and “every imagination of the thoughts was only evil continuously.” In chapter 6, verse 11, it reads, “The earth was filled with violence.” The consquence was destruction.
Jesus continued in Luke 17:28, saying, “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot.” See Genesis 18:13. In Lot’s day, it reads, “But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.” The consequence was destruction.
Sodomy and adultery are still unlawful acts, regardless of any euphemism or politically correct, inoffensive term substituted for Biblically correct truth.
Even though a loophole has been made by man to legalize sodomy via allowing the “union” of a couple living in this lifestyle, it is still confusion and out of order. Making something legal does not make it right.
One man, one woman, until death us do part is the original, no confusion. Like the picture and item in The Mining Journal recently of the loyal, committed couple married 75 years. How beautiful!
Proverbs 14:34 states, “Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”
