Robert ‘Turk’ Hendrickson

Bob was born April 27, 1954, in Ironwood, MI, to the late Arnold R. and Nancy J. (Lindberg) Hendrickson. His family moved to Ishpeming during his childhood, and he went on to graduate from Ishpeming High School with the Class of 1973. Bob spent his career with Cleveland Cliffs, retiring in 2014 from the Tilden Mine where he worked as a general laborer. He was a proud member of the United Steelworkers Retirees.

Known to many as ‘Turk,’ Bob was happiest outdoors or working with his hands. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and spending time at camp. He treasured every moment with his grandchildren and could often be found cruising the lake on his pontoon. Bob also loved traveling to warm destinations with special friends, and he never missed a chance to cheer on his beloved Green Bay Packers-Go Pack Go!

Bob is survived by his daughter Jessica (Christopher) Ordo; his grandchildren Keegan Robert, Kinley Jean Georgia, and Everly Kay; his significant other Cindy Antilla; and his siblings Sue (Carl) Gaborik, Peggy (Charlie) Moss, Ralph ‘Tom’ (Diane) Hendrickson, Karen (Randy) Kirkman, and Steve ‘Doobers’ Hendrickson. He is also survived by close friends-including their ‘cruise crew’ Jay and Cindy Chapman and Brian and Linda Balzarini-many nieces and nephews, countless friends, and his loyal dog, Piper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Nancy Hendrickson.

Family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with James Janofski officiating. After the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the Congress.
