Joseph Judicici

ISHPEMING, MI ­ Joseph Paul ‘Joe’ Juidici, age 69, a lifelong resident of Ishpeming, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 28, 2025, surrounded by the loving care of his family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Joe was born in Ishpeming on August 31, 1956, to John J. and Lena A. (Tasson) Juidici. He was a proud graduate of the Ishpeming High School Class of 1974. Dedicated to serving his community, Joe worked for the City of Ishpeming’s Department of Public Works as an equipment operator and in the water department. He retired in 2009 after 26 years of loyal service. Joe also devoted 20 years to the Ishpeming Fire Department and spent 12 years as an EMT. His commitment to public service continued as he served on the Ishpeming City Council and as a former Mayor.

Joe was known for his warmth, generosity, and remarkable cooking skills. He found joy in gardening, and he and his wife, Yvonne, cherished their time traveling together on cruises.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne (Junak) Juidici, whom he married on May 14, 1993; his son Tim (Taryn) Juidici; and his beloved grandchildren Collin and Carmen Juidici. He is also survived by his sister JoAnn (Norman) DeVold; sister-in-law Colleen Juidici; brother-in-law John (Valarie) Junak; step-brothers John Cappoferri and Paul (Sandy) Cappoferri; step-sister Joann (Ray ‘Buckshot’) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Carmen Juidici, and brother John Juidici.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home, where a prayer service will follow at 2:30 pm with Fr. Larry Van Damme officiating.

Joe’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to UP Home Health and Hospice and Bellin Health System for the exceptional care and compassion shown to him.
