Carol LaBeau
L’ANSE, MI-Carol Ann LeBeau, age 62, of L’Anse, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2025, at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
Carol was born on November 15, 1963, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Willard and Olive (Mitchell) Stickles. She grew up in a loving family and carried that warmth with her throughout her life. On November 12, 2012, she married the love of her life, David LeBeau, with whom she shared many cherished adventures and simple joys.
A devoted member of L’Anse Baptist Church, Carol found fulfillment in serving others, especially through helping prepare meals for local seniors. Her kindness and gentle spirit touched many lives within her church and community.
Carol had a deep love for Lake Superior and found peace in spending time at the L’Anse Waterfront Park, where she could often be found sitting quietly, watching the water. She also enjoyed exploring new restaurants with David, sharing meals and experiences together wherever their curiosity took them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard James Stickles and Olive Mitchell; brothers, Willard Leon Stickles and Charles Stickles; and sister, Brenda Stickles.
Carol is survived by her husband, David LeBeau; dog, Lily; bird, Gunpowder; sisters, Norma Kowalski and Donna Jean Johnson; mother-in-law, Iris LeBeau; brother-in-law, Brian LeBeau; sister-in-law, Brenda (Dean) Tammelin; aunt, Loryl Nelson; uncles, Al Mitchell and Gordon Mitchell; nieces, Lee Kowalski, Brittany (Brad) Kowalski, and Lauren Kowalski; and cousin, Joann Mitchell, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at L’Anse Baptist church with Pastor Jerry Bishop officiating. Visitors may meet with the family beginning at 10:30AM. Luncheon to follow. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
