Donald Paul Neumann

Donald was born in Ellwood City, PA, on July 24th, 1941, son of the late Lucille Ione (Schmid) and Robert Cooley Neumann. He was a graduate of the Marlette High School in Marlette, MI, went on to attend Michigan State University and then received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the Detroit College of Law. Don married Patricia Kind on Sept. 10th, 1966, in Detroit. Don worked mainly in the property title research business, but also had many other jobs throughout his life, including with the United States Postal Service, a policeman with MSU, and in the City of New Orleans. He was a faithful member of Father’s Heart Christian Fellowship in Ishpeming. Don will be remembered as a man of great integrity and spent time in prayer for people. Don was always willing to meet the needs of others, helping where he was needed.

In his spare time Don enjoyed gardening along with authoring a book in 2015.

Donald is survived by his wife – Patricia Neumann of Ishpeming, two sons – Jason (Michelle) Neumann of Blue Ash, OH; Joseph (Alison) Neumann of Marquette; granddaughter – Maggie; a brother – Robert (Kimberly) Neumann of Akron, OH; a niece – Sue Woodyard, great-niece – and great-nephew – John and Jessica Simerlein, along with his church family.

Per Donald’s wishes, cremation will take place with a private family gathering at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to Father’s Heart Christian Fellowship, 815 Friendship Lane, Ishpeming, MI 49849, for the school restoration fund.
