Margaret A. Voet
MARQUETTE, MI – Margaret A. Voet, 82, of Marquette, passed away Saturday evening, October 16th, 2021, at Trillium Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of U.P. Home Health and Hospice.
Margaret was born on January 20th, 1939, in Marquette, a daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Ziesch) Peterson and was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1956 graduate of Bishop Baraga High School.
Margaret took great joy in raising her family of five children, as well as, spending time tending to her flowers at their former home on Champion Street. Special times were always enjoyed at her coffee clutches with friends Carol and Marie.
She is survived by her five children, Janice (Dan) Davis of Palmer, Sherry (Edward) Haack of Marquette, Keith Voet of Gwinn, Kevin Voet of Niagara, WI, and Richard Voet of Ishpeming; 13 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildre n; a brother, Carl Peterson of Palmer and a sister, Linda Kabisch of Milwaukee, WI, also several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, Ralph Voet, on October 21st, 2018, a brother, Donald Peterson, Sr. and a sister, Judy Harsila; one granddaughter, January Vallier and a nephew, Randy Harsila.
There will be no funeral or visitation at this time.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to Trillium House, 1144 Northland Drive, Marquette, MI 49855.
