ISHPEMING, MI – Linda Lou King, 73, of 1890 North Lake Dr. Ishpeming, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, at UP Health System Bell.

Linda was born in Ishpeming, MI on August 22, 1947, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Genore) and Clayton Kellow. She was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, Class of 1966 and went on to receive a nursing degree. Linda worked as an LPN at Acocks and then for 27 years at the Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette prior to her retirement.

Linda enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing; an occasional trip to the Casino, shopping for a good sale, watching NASCAR and the Packers. She looked forward to her trips to Texas to visit her daughter, Donna. Linda had a special place in her heart for Donna’s dog, Kirby. Linda always put others before herself and was always willing to help those in need, she will be greatly missed!!

Linda is survived by her daughter, Donna L. King (fiance, Steve Van Heeswyk) of Round Rock, TX; a sister, Pat (Jaak) Liivoja of Ishpeming; niece, Jeannie King; 2 nephews, Kirk and Mark Nichols along with numerous great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis J. King in 1987.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery Columbarium with Pastor Matt Osborne officiating.
