Shirley M. Patient
SHIRLEY PATIENT
NEGAUNEE, MI – Shirley M. Patient, age 77, of Negaunee, MI, passed away Tuesday May 26, 2020. She was born on March 28, 1943 in Marquette, MI, the daughter of the late Thomas and Jessie (Dymond) Ellis. On August 25, 1962, Shirley married her late husband, Russell, at Grace Methodist Church in Marquette, MI. She worked as a housekeeping manager for some of her life but was primarily a home maker. In her free time, Shirley enjoyed watching horror shows, playing cards, and especially loved being around her family.
Shirley is survived by her three children: Linda Chevrette of Negaunee, MI, Tina Rachuy of Little Lake, MI, and Grant Patient of Platteville, WI; four grandchildren: Shannon (Matthew) Bero, Jessica Rachuy, Alyssa Milner, and Daniel (Carly) Chevrette; four great- grandchildren: Caleb and Madison Bero, and Alaena and Quintin Milner; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Russell, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Rusty Patient; and two sisters: Patricia Ellis and Betty Leigh.
In keeping with her wishes, a celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of plants and flowers, personalized condolences and memorials can be sent in care of Linda (Patient) Chevrette at 105 W. Arch #1, Negaunee, MI 49866. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville is assisting the family.
