Beverly J. Carlson

Beverly was born on April 16, 1934, in North Lake at her family home, daughter of the late George and Sylvia (Laine) Carlson. She graduated from Ishpeming High School class of 1952. Following graduation Beverly worked for Bell Telephone before marrying her husband Robert Carlson and starting their life together.

Beverly was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Ishpeming, she loved to read, research things, tending to her flowers. In her younger years she enjoyed going with her friends to witness people. She enjoyed baking, her dog Sophie, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the true joy of her life.

Beverly is survived by her 4 children- Glen Carlson, Lori (Joe) Hoffman, Karen Carlson, Jon (Lynn Mattila) Carlson, 2 sisters- Sharon Barr, Georgia Parkkonen, 5 grandchildren- Jocelyn (Mike) Mottes, Sean Hoffman, Mindy (Steve) Nelson, Robert (Deanna) Carlson, Devin (Raquelle) Ball, 9 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Robert Carlson, sisters- Donna Nelson, Marcia Buckland, grandson- Ryan Ball.

Beverly’s family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Tuesday February 18, 2020 at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00pm with John Silva officiating. Following the service a luncheon will be held at the Ishpeming Township Hall.
