Kim ‘Jake’ Amon

ISHPEMING, MI – Kim “Jake” Amon, 67, of Ishpeming, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at The Lighthouse at Ishpeming Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Jake was born on June 9, 1952, in Flint, Michigan to the late Donald and Colleen (Gibbs) Amon.

He was a 1970 graduate of Swartz Creek High School and then attended Northern Michigan University.

Jake was employed as a paint, body and equipment salesman for O.K. Industrial and later for NAPA Auto Parts in Marquette.

Survivors include one brother, Deacon Rod (Marcia) Amon of Swartz Creek, MI.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was a daughter, Krissy Amon and a sister, Sandra.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 4th from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home where a memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. in the funeral home with Jake’s brother, Deacon Rod Amon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans Activity Fund, 425 Fisher St., Marquette, MI 49855.
