Elmer Samuel Piirto
CHANDLER, AZ – Elmer Samuel Piirto, age 95, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2019, at Sunrise Assisted Living where he and his wife of 72 years, Bernice, resided in Chandler, Arizona.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bernice, daughters and son-in-laws; Dawn and Rob Iverson, Debbra and Alan Rohrer, and Valerie and Ray Storme. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Elmer was born and raised in Republic, Michigan, and served in the USN Submarine Service during World War II.
Elmer was preceded in death by son Scott Piirto.
