MARQUETTE, MI – Christian “Chris” Koch, of Marquette entered eternal life on October 6, 2018, in the care of the staff at The Lighthouse at Ishpeming Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Chris was born on November 22, 1966, in Iowa City, Iowa. He attended school in Marquette after the family moved to the Upper Peninsula. He graduated from Marquette Senior High School in 1985. He went back to school in 1995 and completed an Associate in Applied Science degree in HVAC from Northern Michigan University. Chris worked in a variety of settings in the Upper Peninsula and the Green Bay, WI area before settling back in Marquette.

Chris was a simple guy, with a lot of demons and a few good friends. He cared about his family and did the best he could with the cards he was dealt.

Chris is survived by his sister, Juliana Hensler (Chris) of Carlton, Minnesota, and brother, John Koch (Marlene) of Stoughton, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews, Sydney Hensler, Carsten Koch, and Lauren Koch; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, David S. Koch and Carol A. (Newton) Koch and grandparents.

A small private inurnment service was held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Park Cemetery
