Iris Noel Bugg

MUNISING, MI – Iris Noel Bugg, age 69, of Munising, died Monday afternoon, June 17, 2019 at UPHS Marquette following a brief illness. She was born on February 6, 1950 in Munising to Leo and Irma (Sommerville) Tyner. Iris attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1968. She then began training to become a flight attendant which was funny to her children because Iris was afraid of flying.

Iris married Bernard M. Bugg on November 1, 1969. She enjoyed reading and being around her family – especially her grandkids who she lovingly referred to as “her grandbabies” no matter how old they were. Iris especially enjoyed Christmas Eve festivities where the best present was having her family all together. She had worked in the veneer mill at Timber Products for ten years.

Iris is survived by her children – Bethany (Eric) Tackett of Munising, Katy (Bill) Brisson of Limestone, Frank Bugg of Munising, Sue Brown of Anderson, SC, Shane (Jacquee) Bugg of Grand Marais, and Brenda (Dwight) Whitman of Willmington, NC; grandchildren – Kristine, Josiah, K.C.
