Scott D. Langsford
ISHPEMING, MI – Scott D. Langsford, age 68, lifelong Ishpeming resident, passed away on Sunday May 19, 2019 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility while in the loving care of nursing home staff.
Scott was born on January 8, 1951 in Marquette to the late Earl J. Langsford and M. Shirley (Peterson) Langsford. He was raised in Ishpeming and graduated from Ishpeming High School class of 1969. Following graduation Scott served in the United States Army from 1971 – 1973. He was honorably discharged in 1973 and returned to Ishpeming to work for Cleveland Cliffs where he worked for 33 years.
Scott loved going camping, being out in the woods, riding motorcycles, watching football, and enjoyed his job especially driving the big trucks.
Scott is survived by his mother – M. Shirley Langsford, 2 children – Sunshine Langsford, Justin Langsford, siblings Larry Langsford, and Cathy (Mike) Langsford-Cardone.
He was preceded in death by his father Earl J. Langsford, significant other- Angie Langsford, and brothers- Kurt and Jan Langsford.
Graveside services will be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery on Thursday May 23, 2019 at 1:00pm.
