MARQUETTE, MI – Robert Lee Clark, age 84, of Negaunee, entered eternal life Thursday, May 16, 2019, at his home, in the loving care of his family and caregivers at Lake Superior Hospice.
Born December 16, 1934, in Detroit, a son of Richard and Caroline (Schmelski) Clark, Bob graduated from Lincoln Park High School in 1952. He was employed for many years with Michigan Bell Telephone Company. Bob loved the outdoors, living to hunt, fish, and trap. A skilled handyman and talented carpenter, he built his own home as well as his beloved log cabin, cutting and peeling the logs himself. The result was a beautiful log cabin with one of the nicest outhouses in the UP!
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; a sister; and a step-son. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Clark and ten children, Raymond and Linda Clark, Carol (Bill) Hamlin, Janice (Keith) Gleason, Laurie (Craig) Anspaugh, Kathy (Tim) Retaskie, Denise (Michael) Vrooman, Derek (Karen)Blackwell, Darren Blackwell, and Denette (Bill) Groff; and 19 grandchildren.
Honoring Bob’s request, no public services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
