MIDWAY LOCATION, MI – Cristine Mae Knight, 54, of Midway Location, passed away Friday morning, April 19, 2019 at her residence.

Cristine was born on January 30, 1965 in Marquette to the late Don D. Knight and Yvonne (Ensign) Milligan.

Cris worked at Wells Fargo, then went to work at the Marquette Federal Credit Union up until her health and illness turned for the worse and caused her to not be able to work any longer.

Cris enjoyed the outdoors. She loved going fishing, 4-wheeling, canoeing and swimming, especially at Middle Island Point where she spent most of her childhood growing up.

Cris had a love for camping, she took joy in being in the woods with her son, Dusty, and their two dogs by her side enjoying the night-time campfires, talking and laughing together.

As the years passed by, alcoholism was taking over more and more up until it ultimately took her life.

Cris is finally at peace from this deadly disease that ended up controlling her life.

Cris will always be remembered for her kindness, her huge smile and for her heart. She had immense compassion for all animals.

Cris is survived by her son, Dustin Anderson; brother, Robert Knight; sister, Cynthia Bigger; brother-in-law, Timothy Bigger; her special love, Tim Treiber; sister-in-law, Christine Schultz Knight; brother-in-law, William Dupras; her nieces, Jessica Dupras, Casandra Hanford and Sonna Hanford; her nephews, Bobby Knight, Robert Hanford and Joey Knight; great nephews, Jordan Benz, Colton Hartz and Talon Croschere; her aunt and uncle, Barb and Bob Kalke; cousins, Cheryl (Jim) Baranek, Richard (Pam) Kalke and Nikki (Aaron) Herbert.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don D. Knight; mother, Yvonne M. Milligan; sister, Cathrine (Knight) Dupras; brother-in-law, Robert Hanford Jr.; and her grandparents, Claire and Lavinia Knight and Joseph and Florence Markantony.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3rd from 3 pm until 4pm at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 4 pm with Rev. Greg Heikkala officiating.
