Sandra Moulds

MUNISING, MI – Sandra Lee Moulds, age 68, of Munising, died on Tuesday morning, January 8, 2019 at the Medilodge in Munising.

She was born on December 27, 1950 in Marquette to the late Willie and Dorothy (LaFave) Swajanen. Sandy grew up on the family farm in Eben and graduated from Eben High School in 1969. Sandy was a single working mom in Munising when she met Jim Moulds who was the Head Start bus driver when he dropped Nikki off from school. His smooth kindness and ability to make her laugh won her heart and they were married. Sandy and Jim raised David, Nikki, and their daughter, Michelle. Sandy worked as a cook at the A & W and then worked at Ben Franklin for three years. She then went to work at Putvin’s Drugstore for twenty years where she enjoyed taking care of the community. Sandy attended Sion Lutheran Church in Chatham and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Smear league at the Legion. Sandy LOVED to play cards and was very competitive. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble and other board games, spending time with her family, walking, reading, and enjoying nature’s beauty.
