Jeremy Wills

SKANDIA, MI – Jeremy Charles Wills, 36, of Engman Lake Rd., Skandia, entered eternal life early Friday morning, January 4, 2019, following injuries sustained in an automobile – pedestrian accident.

Jeremy was born July 4, 1982, in Longview, Washington to Ken and Patti (Wirkkala) Wills. He grew up in Skandia, enjoying the outdoors and fishing trips with his family. Jeremy graduated from Gwinn High School, Class of 2001, and then attended NMU and served in the National Guard. He worked as a maintenance and janitorial technician for many years.

In his spare time, Jeremy enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and spending time with his family, friends and pets.

Jeremy is survived by his parents, Ken and Patti Wills of Skandia; a brother, Alex Wills; pets, Sassy and Coco of Skandia; a sister, Katriina (John) Hopper of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; nieces, Elise and Claire Hopper; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins in many states.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Zachary.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 12th, at Eastwood Apostolic Lutheran Church, Negaunee, with Rev. Dale Niskanen and Jeremy’s uncle, Rev. Orval Wirkkala officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 3:00 pm at the church on Saturday, and also at a luncheon immediately following services in the church fellowship hall. Honorary Pallbearers are Matthew Marks, Brandon and Corbin Davidson, Alexander Wills and Zach Korpi.

Jeremy was a kind-hearted person, loved by many, whose desire was to make the world a better place by helping others.
