ISHPEMING, MI – Jeanette Marie Dunstan, 83, of Salisbury St., Ishpeming, entered eternal life Saturday, September 29, 2018 at her home in the loving care of her family.

Jeanette was born March 17, 1935 in Ishpeming to Nestor and Martha (Santaholma) Korpi, attended Ishpeming Schools and was a lifelong area resident. She was loving and devoted homemaker to her husband, children and beloved cats, Wonka and Bubba.

Mrs. Dunstan was a member of Salisbury United Methodist Church where she was a member of the women’s group and was also a longtime member of the Riverside Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, pitching horseshoes in her younger years, the weekly night out for pool league with her daughter, spending time on her deck, reading and most of all, spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Surviving are her son, William (Julie) Dunstan of Ishpeming; two daughters, Cindy (Robert) Harmala of Ishpeming and Dana Dunstan (Robert Ernst) of Ishpeming; seven granddaughters: Jessie (Jim) Maki, Kari (Richard) Maki, Stacy Dunstan, Billie Jean (Jay) Sartorelli, Heather (Aaron) Salo, Christie Harmala and Nikki (Aaron) Lerlie; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Edith Sandberg of Ishpeming and Donna (Marvin) Korb of Fon du Lac, Wisconsin; her brother, Ronald (Naoma) Korpi of Ishpeming; two sisters-in-law, Marie Korpi of Palmer and Cece Korpi of Ishpeming; a special friend, Jim Solka of National Mine; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William ‘Yip’ Dunstan in September, 2009; three brothers: John, Irvin and Dennis Korpi; and her sister, Ethel (Russell) Aho.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 4th at Koskey Funeral Home with Rev. Terri Branstrom officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm at the funeral home on Thursday.
