SUOMI LOCATION, MI – Frank Kenneth Prosser, 72, of Co. Rd. ML, Suomi Location, passed away at home on September 3, 2018 while in the care of his family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Frank was born May 6, 1946 in Winona, Minnesota to Harold and Genevieve (Cameron) Prosser. He graduated from Winona High School, Class of 1964, and attended Winona State College and Dunswoody Institute in Minneapolis.

Frank served his country in the United States Army from 1966-68, spending a year in Vietnam. He married Diane Minar on June 27, 1970 in New Prague, Minnesota.

The family moved to the UP in 1975 when Frank began his career with CCI, working at both the Tilden and Empire Mines as an electrician. He retired in 2005 with 30 years of service.

In his spare time, Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and spending time with family at their camp on Lake Michigamme.

Surviving are his wife, Diane; three children: Jennifer (David) McKee of Augusta, GA, Natalie (Ed Dorow) Prosser and Andy (Eve) Prosser, both of Ishpeming; several grandchildren who were very special to him; and a brother, Dick (Janet) Prosser of Eagon, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jack; sister-in-law, Audrey; and his Aunt Marge.

Franks family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the dedicated and caring staff of UP Home Health and Hospice.

Honoring his wishes, private family services will be held.
