William J. Wrobel

COLDWATER, MI. – William Joseph “Bill” Wrobel, age 66, entered eternal life August 24th at his home surrounded by his beloved partner and daughters after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of Brain cancer, Glioblastoma Multiforme.

Bill was born on July 31, 1952 in rural Warren, MI to Joseph and Elizabeth Wrobel where he grew up and attended school. He later attended Northern Michigan University where he received a degree in business. Bill was retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections where he worked for 22 years. He had previously served in the United States Airforce Reserves. Bill loved aviation and had dreamed of getting his pilot’s license.

Bill was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph and Elizabeth.

He is survived by his soulmate Patty Brook, his five children, Dawn Wrobel (Dan Skellenger), Rachel Estes (Derek), Joseph Wrobel, Stephanie Mallette (Chad), Danielle Wrobel, and his former wife Janet Wrobel (Lambert), his seven grandchildren, Jaden Wrobel, Ashton Estes, Evan Skellenger, Madalynn Estes, Lilliana Wrobel, Calvin and Westley Mallette. He is also survived by his brothers Donald (Linda) Wrobel and Jerry (Faith) Wrobel, many nieces and nephews, and his faithful canine companion and best friend, Daisy the yellow Labrador dog.

Bill could fix anything. He loved his dogs, computers, music, antiques, books, planes, astronomy, classic cars, good food, talking politics, and spending time with his family.

Bill was a beloved partner, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed.
