Linda L. Koski

Linda was born February 11, 1949 in Ishpeming, MI the daughter of the late Irving and Harriet (Hooper) Makela. She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1967 and went on to attend college at NMU. Linda had worked in the Bakery Dept. at Jubilee Foods in Ishpeming for many years and then for several more years in the Housekeeping Dept. at the Marquette Co. Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming prior to her retirement.

Linda enjoyed going for rides with her husband Bill on their Harley Davidson Motorcycle. She and Bill also loved to travel, especially to Playa del Carmen in Mexico, going there on average three times a year for the past 18 years. Most special to Linda was her grandchildren whom she loved to spent time with. Linda and her local girlfriends had a standing monthly dinner/“Girl’s Night Out” they all enjoyed.

Survivors include her husband of the past 34 years Bill Koski of Ishpeming Twp., 2 daughters – Barbie (Kurt) Kaleva and Amy (fiance Jason Arseneau) Koski both of Ishpeming, sister Nancy (David) Jaykka of Ishpeming, 5 grandchildren – Alyssa LeClair, Tori Kaleva, Aydin, Jace and Abel Arseneau, along with another expected granddaughter, father-in-law Bill J. Koski of Ishpeming.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, son Scott Eric LeClair, sister Barbie Makela and brothers Marvin and Jerry Makela.

The family will greet relatives and friends to celebrate the life of Linda from 10:00am – Noon on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home.

A luncheon will follow at the Hope Free Lutheran Church Hall in Ishpeming Twp. at 12:30pm on Saturday. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
