Shirley Ann Moffatt

Shirley was born September 12, 1920 in Negaunee to Charles and Virginia (Garceau) Johnson. Shirley was a stay at home wife and mother who raised 4 children. She enjoyed baking and cooking, working with ceramics or just spending quality time with her family. Shirley was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming.

Shirley is survived by 4 children: Paul D. Moffatt of Ishpeming, Sharon L. Peterson of Marquette, Valerie G. (Brian) Peterson of Negaunee and Ginger S. (Glen) Henson of Indio, CA, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Paul T. Moffatt, son in law Tom Peterson, 3 sisters and 7 brothers.

Shirley’s family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 -11:00 am on Thursday May 31, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 325 S. Pine St. Ishpeming, MI, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Fr. Larry Van Damme officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

A luncheon will follow the service at K/D Hall at St. Johns Church.
